Digital-out only build?

XFM2 is a small and relatively inexpensive build, I’d say.

But if you have an available SPDIF digital input in your mixer, you could get rid of the DAC altogether., and make a digital-only build. That’d make it an even smaller and more inexpensive gizmo 🙂

Just leave all I2S connections unwired, and hook a 10n capacitor to the SPDIF out terminal. And enjoy the -120dB noise floor and distortion!
